Last weekend we had a snow storm. It was supposed to be bigger than it was, but we still got at least 4 inches and then the wind caused some pretty big drifts. On Sunday they canceled church and on Monday they canceled school. The roads out here are awful, the majority of people have dirt roads to their houses, so when it snows it's very easy to get snowed in. On the way to work, Terry even got stuck, he thought he could drive through a drift. It didn't work. Luckily out here, the ranch has provided us with a generator, so when there is a power outrage for a couple of days, we can still have water and heat.
On Monday the weather was good enough (the wind wasn't blowing too much) that we let the kids go sledding. We live in the sandhills, so there are hills everywhere. There's a decent sized on just outside of our house, the boys loved that one. And in our front yard there is a little one that was perfect for Keyne and Tasyn. Everyone had fun and enjoyed it. Then we came in for some hot chocolate and dinner.

Thanks for posting! Looks like fun. Although I don't miss the clean up after sledding! But I do miss days off of school because of bad weather.
Looks so fun! I don't know what's more fun: the sledding, or the hot cocoa after :)
