It's the Last Day of the Year!

It is the last day of 2009, wow this year has flown by! There isn't much happening here today. Terry is out counting cows like he does every Dec 31st and the boys and I are at home hanging out. Since it is the last day of the year, I have a ton of coupons that expire today. So I got them all out and let the boys have a snowball fight! It was a lot of fun. They would just throw them every where.
Keyne was super cute, he just sat there and threw coupons on his head over and over again.

Kanyon doing a coupon angel :)
We plan to have a quiet New Year's Eve. The boys and I made noise makers yesterday for crafts. We'll probably have a couple of snacks and watch the ball drop. What do you have plan for this New Year's Eve?

Car Troubles

It is funny to me that we can go years without any car problems and have two completely different problems in just one week. Last Sunday, I went to out to start the car and it wouldn't start. The day that we were actually going to be early to church is the day that the car doesn't start. Luckily, we figured out that it was the battery, so Monday we got a new battery so we wouldn't get stranded on our trip to Gillette.
This Sunday as we were traveling back from Gillette, we noticed that the car was a little shaky, so we were constantly checking the front tire each time we stopped. About 10 minutes north of Denver, the tire burst and we were on the side of the road changing it for about 45 minutes. The scariest part of it all was being on I-25 and all the cars zooming by. Luckily Terry knew exactly what to do and was able to change the tire without any problems. We drove all the spare for another 5 hours and finally got all 4 tires changed today.
I'm so grateful that they weren't worse problems and that Terry was there to handle it. He's awesome and I'm so grateful that he has knowledge about cars. Luckily the blow out wasn't horrible and we didn't lose control and were able to pull over just fine. Now let's hope that it is a few more years until we have car problems again!

Family Pictures

This is the first time in two years that all of the Gardners have been together, so of course we had to do family pictures.

The original Gardner family
The 5 Gardner kids
Grandma and Grandpa with all of the grandkids, 7 boys and 1 girl
The growing family, all 19 of us

Merry Christmas!!!

Christmas morning started super early for me. Keyne woke up around 6, and due to excitement, I couldn't go back to sleep. So I got up and opened my stocking. Finally by 6:45, I couldn't handle it and woke up Kanyon. We looked at our stockings and then woke up Tyce.

Kanyon loves these candy canes in his stocking, it might become a little tradition for us
Tyce was still a little out of it, but was super excited about all the fun toys in his stocking
Keyne got a tie and hat, so he got to show them off while looking through his stocking

Keyne loved the wrapping paper! He got lots of fun new toys to play with.
Kanyon asked Santa for a chain saw, not a real one but a toy one (that's what he told people). He was super excited to get it!

The boys got a ton of good presents this year, they are spoiled! They had so much fun playing with all of their new toys and their cousins' new toys. We all got lots of good things this year. The hard part now is finding a spot of all it!

Christmas Eve

This year we went up to Gillette to have Christmas with Terry's parents. It was a lot a of fun and a full house! There were a total of 19 people there, with 8 grandkids all under the age of 5. For Christmas Eve the boys got to open up one present, pajamas. I love having matching pajamas!

We then played lots of fun games. The boys played musical chairs. They all got some fun prizes, watches.

We then acted out the nativity scene. We had a lot of shepherds and then Keyne and his cousin Ella were Joseph and Mary.
After the kids went to sleep, the adults got to play games. It was a blast. I love games! We play the newly wed game and several Christmas games. I love being around family during Christmas!

Christmas Caroling

This evening we went out Christmas caroling to a couple neighbors on our block. We brought them a plate of cookies and some little tea light candles. We only sang one song, Jingle Bells and then wished them a Merry Christmas. It was a lot of fun. The boys' hats have bells on them and so they would move to make them jingle. The best part was Tyce, he would head bang and move his whole body to make the bell jingle, it was hilarious! We wish you all a Merry Christmas!!

Why I don't like Winter

I have never really like the cold. My body doesn't do well in the cold and that's why I never really cared for sledding, skiing, etc. Sure the snow is pretty, but I don't like to be in it! Anyway, it rarely snows here (which is wonderful in my opinion). But for some reason, it likes to snow when we have plans to go somewhere. It won't snow for weeks and weeks and the one day that we are traveling, it's going to snow. It drives me nuts!!! It is so frustrating you plan everything out but in the winter time it can get canceled because the weather. My vote is for Christmas to be in July!

Tycerooni

Today we finally went to the doctor's for Tyce's three year appointment. It went just fine, even with Keyne and Kanyon having to get flu shots. Tyce is still incredibly small, but he's growing and that is what is important. He is only 33 1/2 inches, not even close to the charts and weighs a whopping 25 1/2 pounds, he's huge!! But really, he's tiny and has absolutely no fat on him. He is still wearing 18 month pants and has to wear a belt to keep them on! He just automatically holds his pants when he runs because he knows that they are not going to stay up. Before I know it, him and Keyne are going to be wearing the same size pants but Keyne's will stay on :)

Here are some cute pictures of Tyce. He actually wanted me to take pictures of him... that is a rare event
Yes, he is upside down!

Got Milk??

When Kanyon was a baby, I was pretty strict about what he ate. I actually listened to the doctors back then and made sure he didn't eat anything until he was old enough (with exception of sugar, he has a sucker at 8mo). With Tyce, I was a little less strict but still tried to make sure that he didn't eat anything that he shouldn't. I was especially picky about dairy and making sure the boys didn't get that at a young age. Well Keyne is definitely a third child... he has had everything and for a long time too. He eats what we eat and loves it too. Today he was being really whiny and I was trying to get something done, so I gave him some cookies. He shut up right away and loved them. What baby wouldn't enjoy the taste of grasshopper cookies :). He immediately got a bath after his third cookie.

Doctor Doctor

What do you do when it's super cold outside? You play dress up! I got a ton of costumes after Halloween for 90% off, and this doctor costume was one of them. Luckily the boys didn't mind one wearing the scrubs and the other one wearing the coat. They have been so cute, they go around saying "doctor" to each other and Tyce keeps asking, "where is your heart?" They don't use names, just say doctor, it kinda of remind of the scene in Muppets from Space where just say "doctor" all the time :).
This cute little guy probably should be at the doctors, he had a 104 temperature all night last night. Luckily it has finally broken and he seems to be feeling better. It's always hard to know when to go to the doctors, it drives me nuts when you go, pay $25 and have them tell you that it's a virus and there's nothing that they can do. We will be monitoring him closely for the next day to see if it's an infection or just a virus.

Christmas program

Last night Kanyon had a Christmas program for his preschool. Kanyon was super excited about it. It was really cute to watch all the kids sing the song. Kanyon did great! He knew all of the words and I could hear him very well. I love that he loves to sings, it makes me so proud of him! It was by far the shortest program I've ever been to, they only sang one song and then said, "we wish you a Merry Christmas!" I was expecting a little more, but with that young of kids it could get out of hand.

Here's the only decent picture that I got, I wasn't sitting in the best spot and my camera was being difficult.
Here is a video of Kanyon singing. I don't know how to hook up our video camera and I am not patient enough to wait until Terry gets home. So I played it on our TV and then video taped it. Sorry that it is so horrible, but at least now you can hear him sing. He is the male voice that likes to hold notes longer than he's supposed to and says "Jesus" really loud :). Turn up the volume. Listen for Tyce, he has some commentary (he actually does talk :)).

Craft Blog

I thought that it would be fun to start a craft blog. This is really a little test to see if I really want to do it and put the time and effort into it. So if you're interested in looking at it, feel free to visit!
Just click here to see!
Let me know what you think and let me know if this is a completely waste of time or not.

Santa Claus is coming to town

Last night we had our ward Christmas party. It was so much fun and a great turnout! A jolly old man came to visit and I was in charge of taking pictures of all the kids, so I got some of my boys with Santa. Santa decided to shave this Christmas because of global warming :). Kanyon of course loved him and told him that he wants a chain saw, Tyce wouldn't look at him and just gave me dirty looks the whole time and Keyne wasn't sure about him.
After Santa there was a little dance. I always forget how much I love to dance! I was so much fun, too bad I was the only adult dancing at times! Good thing I don't care if I look like an idiot and just have fun. At one point there were 7 or 8 kids around me wanting me to dance with them. They wore me out that's for sure! What a fun night we all had!

My favorite season!

I love this time of year! The weekend after Thanksgiving we always put up our Christmas tree. I love seeing it and just looking at the tree. The boys had a lot of fun decorating it. I let the boys put all the ornaments on (then I rearrange them). They had a lot of fun and I enjoyed watching them. Here's a few pictures.

Tyce just put them all of them on one branch.
Can you tell that Tyce put the green ones one, there are all right at his eye level.

Here's the finished product, we still have to put a star on.
Kanyon was the only one to look at the camera, I love that he will take good pictures for me!
I love having the tree up...... but I'm already ready to take it down. At least five times a day I have to tell the boys to leave the tree alone. They like to plug and unplug the tree, move the ornaments, throw the ornaments, roll them down the stairs. I was worried about Keyne but he has been great!

It has been three years already???

Today is Tyce's third birthday, I cannot believe it. He is growing so fast! Tyce is a very fun boy. Whenever he's outside the house, is he really shy and quiet but when he's at home, he is our loudest boy! It makes me sad that people don't get to see his personality because he sure has a cute one! I love that he talks so well, we always know what is going through his head. Tyce loves to be around people and on people. He is constantly climbing on someone, even Keyne. He is full of energy and keeps going and going. He is a great addition to our family and sure keeps things interesting. We love you Tyce!!
