Half of a year

This past weekend Keyne turned 6 months. I cannot believe that my baby is six months old, where has the time gone? I swear the older and the more kids you have, the faster time goes. Keyne is growing so fast and he is starting to enjoy being on his tummy, he loves to turn in circles to get to toys. He is starting to sit up by himself. He can do it for about 5 seconds. He got weighed and measured today. He is 14 pounds 15 ounces (little less than 10th) and 26 inhces long (30th). He was so happy the day I took pictures, I seriously got at least 10 super cute pictures. Here are 4 of them :)
He has discovered his tongue and loves to stick it out!

I love garage sales

My whole life I have gone to garage sales. It seemed like that was our Saturday morning activity. The boys and I love to go here. The garage sales are weird here, the best time to go is Friday afternoon to evening. So a lot of times we all go. Recently I have found some great deals and lots of clothes for the boys. I love gently wore clothes for $.25 or $.50! Well I got all of these outfits for the boys the past two weeks and each outfit was about $1, you can't beat that!

Keyne Pile

Recently the boys have been loving Keyne, they just love to get into his face and play with him. Keyne just loves it, he laughs so hard when they do silly things with him. They just have a good time together. It is really nice for me because they keep him happy and entertain him. Now that Keyne is getting a little bigger, they are getting a little rougher and sometimes they are a little too rough. For the most pat Keyne loves it, but sometimes it is a little much. For example, this morning I found Keyne laying on the ground, Kanyon laying on top of him and Tyce on top of Kanyon. Kanyon didn't have all of his weight on Keyne, but I of course had to tell them that wasn't allowed. I should have grabbed my camera, it was a funny sight. Keyne didn't mind, he just didn't know what was going on. All three boys are in at fun ages right now, I have truly enjoyed having them!

It is finally in!

This weekend we finally got the piano in the house. It wasn't an easy task. Since we live in a split level house, the piano had to go up the stairs. Terry and a few missionaries struggled to get it up. There was a little dry wall damage but that should be easy to fix. So the piano looks huge in my house, it didn't look so big in the garage but it does in the living room. I have to arrange the furniture, it just looks off now. I think I have to move some frames over to center the room better. I love having it though, I have played for about hour every day that I have had it inside. I'm realizing I am really rusty. It always drives me nuts when I'm playing a really pretty song and then I hit a horrible cord. Hopefully with practice my playing will improve.

Drive-in Movie

This past week Terry and I discovered that there is a drive in movie theater about an hour away. So we decided that to go last night. It was a fun evening, I got to go to Hobby Lobby (heaven!) and the boys got to go to the dollar store (their heaven) and then we went to the movies. We went and saw Harry Potter. We could have watched Terminator also, but really didn't want to get home at 4:00am, so we just stayed for the one movie. It was a lot of fun. I haven' t been to a drive in for a long time. This one was definitely old but it was cool because they had a little playground that the boys could play at before the movie started. We all sat in the back of our van and watched. It would have been more enjoyable if a little two year would have stopped talking :).

Playing Pretend

So the boys are into the playing pretend stage right now. This afternoon Kanyon was the pretend Dad, Tyce was the pretend Mom and Keyne of course was their baby. They tried to really play with Keyne, but soon got into trouble for trying to pick him up. So they moved their game outside. It was so cute to listen to them play. Several times I responded to Kanyon saying "Mom" and he always replied back, "I"m talking to the pretend mom." They rode their bikes to Walmart (the cooler in the garage) and then to work, well at least Kanyon did. It is so fun to watch them grow, learn and play together. They have become the best of friends!

Swimming Lessons

For the past week we have doing swimming lessons at our big outdoor pool. Kanyon immediately loved it and was doing everything that the lifeguards had him do. Whenever they had races, he was one of the first to finish. It was just so much fun for him! He loves it and loves going under and just playing.
Tyce on the other hand was being stubborn and didn't want to do anything. When we first started we went into water where he couldn't touch, so he just was constantly hanging on my neck and didn't want to do anything. They finally put the parent and tot class in shallow water and he did much better. He had a blast today, he was all smiles.

Blowing bubbles
Kicking while going around the pool

Tyce learned to move his arms whenever he walks in the pool

Having a blast! They got to go play in the kiddy pool and go down the slides
All kids listening to the lifeguard. I picked this picture to show off our BIG pool

Kanyon just went under to get the ring, he does a good job!

New Toys

When we moved here, Tyce was only 13 months old and had just grown out of a lot of his baby furniture (walker, highchair, swing, etc). So instead of packing them up and hauling them over here, we decided to sale them. We knew we were going to have more kids, but we didn't know when. Well now that Keyne is getting bigger, it's time to get some more of those baby furniture. Good thing you can usually always get them at garage sales, so I'm not paying $50+ for each item. Yesterday I found a basic walker at a garage sale. Keyne enjoys it but doesn't care to be in it for too long, he would prefer to just lay on the ground. After cleaning it, I turned to Terry and told him that I bet that Tyce will be in it soon. Sure enough, that night, both Tyce and Kanyon took turns playing in the walker. At least they did share it with each other :)

I need your opinion

So I finally got to working on my piano today, wow it was a mess. There were cobwebs everywhere and it was pretty gross. Anyway, I stained it and the color is a lot more red than I had hoped for, but it's not bad. But I want to know what people think of it because I plan on putting on one more coat and before I do that, I need to know if it looks okay or if I should go what another color. So what do you think?

I don't know how

For some reason, Tyce is in a stage of saying, "I don't know how." He says it when he clearly knows how. He says it when I ask him to sit on his chair, go get something and anytime he just wants to be lazy or doesn't want to do anything. I am really hoping that this is a stage because he is already stubborn and slow and this makes it ten times worse! Tyce also is in a non-stop talking stage. Literally, he will talk non stop and he starts each sentence with "Mommy...." It is pretty funny, but at times I have told him that he needs to stop talking :)

4th of July

We had a busy, but fun 4th of July this year. We got back from the reunion on Friday at 11pm, so we spent a lot of the day trying to get things done. Plus, Denny, Downi and their families stayed the night, so we had to prepare the house for 15+ people. This morning we had an umexpected visitor, a turtle in our front yard. The boys loved it!
Of course we did fireworks this evening. We did a couple on our own and then did lots and lots when the family got here. Kanyon LOVED the sparklers, he would do one and then run and get another right after it burnt. Tyce never held the sparkler but he still enjoyed looking at all the fireworks. Keyne loved to watch them and he made lots of noises of amazement when he saw them.

A trip to Silverton, Colorado

Today we went to a little town called Silverton, it is the place where my mom's mom lived and grew up. It is a little mining town in the middle of the mountains. It is really pretty up there. There is a train that goes from Durango to Silverton that some people rode, we took the car. The roads are really windy and at times pretty scary. When we first got there, it was raining and it was pretty muddy and cold. First we stopped at grandma's house. Here it is. There was no one there, so we couldn't look inside. Then we just walked around the town. The museum and jail were closed, so we hit a couple of shops. We got some shirts for the boys because it was cold. I'm not going to lie, I was thinking that it wasn't worth the 2 1/2 hour drive, it was cold, wet and really not much to do. Well the day got much better when we say this:So immediately after finding out that it was only $10 for 30 minutes, Terry and I decided that it would be a lot of fun to do. We got with Kody and Tiffany and took our ride around the little town. The boys LOVED it and waved and said hi to everyone that they saw. It was blast, but it was a lot of hard work, especially going up the hills.
Kanyon and Tyce liked it so much that they never got off. We all took turns on the little cars and cruised the town. This definitely made the trip and it was so much fun!
