May the Force Be With You!!

Happy Halloween! This year we all went as Star Wars. For really not putting as much time as I usually do, I think that the costumes turned out fairly well. Luckily last year I got Kanyon and Tyce's costumes for 90% off, so all I had to do was make Keynes and then robes for everyone.

Just in case you wondering, we are:
Yoda, Darth Vader, Anakin, Luke and a very pregnant Padme
Anakin "the Skywalker"
Luke "the Skywalker"
Keyne didn't like his robe or Yoda hood. I was lucky to get a picture of him half smiling with them on and not trying to pull them off

We had a trunk or treat for our ward tonight. Sadly, all of the other activities in town landed on the same day, so we were't able to do as much. Which really is fine by me because we have enough candy and had lots of fun with just one activity!

We've had Star Wars on the brain so much this week that one day Tyce starting singing, "Yoda was a prophet, first one that we know!" It was hilarious!

Parent/Teacher Conferences

Today we went to Kanyon's parent teacher conferences. I know that some people dread them, but I was really excited to see how he was doing. And he is going great!!! I'm so proud of him! He's definitely in the top of his class. He scored high is everything. Come this month he is going to get additional homework because the books that they send home for homework are too easy for him.

They sent home a little journal that they write in and I was so impressed with the sentences that he writes. He is already using adjectives in the sentences and putting the word "is" in there too. Here are a few of the sentences he wrote "A pumpkin is orange." "We like to go to school." "We see the red leaves."

Kanyon is doing so well in speech that they decided to drop him. When he was tested when he was 4 years old, he had 52 sound errors. It was pretty bad. Well now she said that he had 2 errors when he was last tested and they were both developmental. So he is now out of speech. He is such a quick learner! I'm just so proud of my Kanyon!

One Crazy Weekend

This past weekend was crazy! This weekend was the weekend that I have been dreading for about 6 weeks. We had a ton going on for our ward and all three things I had to help in some way. I knew that I was going to be 36 weeks pregnant and always joked that this weekend would put me into labor. By the end of Sunday, I really thought that I was going to have a baby!

So this is how the weekend went:

Friday night 6-8pm: Elder's Quorum activity. Terry is the president, so of course I had to help out. I helped him set up and then the whole activity I was running around, either chasing Keyne or playing a fun activity. He actually did most of the work, and it was awesome!!!

Friday night 8-10: Came home and had lots or contractions, nothing regular though

Saturday morning 8-10am: Super Saturday. It was a lot of fun. I helped out by doing a glass etching on a casserole dish. Went really good until about 9:30 when someone ordered 4 more and I had to get other's done before 10. Really stressful 30 minutes, I was going a little crazy,

Saturday morning 10-11:30am: Primary program practice. Me being the chorister that meant lots of sitting and standing. The first run through was awful, I forgot the words, I dropped the pictures and kids were not singing great. Second run through, much better!

Saturday morning 11:30-12:30: Went back to finish up the casserole dishes

Saturday afternoon: Finally sat down for the first time and decided to start timing my consistent contractions. They were 5-6 minutes apart for about 3 hours and then went to as close as 3-4 minutes apart. They weren't super strong though. I was stressing out because I didn't want to have to call the primary presidency and tell them I was going into labor and would miss the primary program. After about 4-5 hours, they stopped.

Sunday morning 10-1:00: Primary program was awesome (see previous post)!!! Church was hectic, Keyne didn't like nursery so I was in there for the two hours and constantly on my feet.

Sunday afternoon: 1-5:00 Contractions started up again, much stronger than Saturday's and were 4-5 minutes apart and went to 2-3 minutes part and starting to get intense. Those lasted about an hour and then stopped. I was emotionally ready to have a baby then!

Sunday evening: Took a short nap and then contractions started again for about 2 hours, strong and frequent but then stopped.

Let's just say this weekend was really hard on me, physically and emotionally. It so hard to sit through 8+ hours of contractions and think to myself "am I going to have a baby today?". And then them just stop. I do know that they did do something, the baby has definitely dropped and I'm pretty sure I'm 2-3 cm dilated. So hopefully this weekend helped so that I will have a short labor for once :).

Carving Pumpkins

This evening we carved our pumpkins from our garden. The boys had a lot of fun. Kanyon did it all by himself, I was so impressed!! Once the gunk was out of the pumpkins, Keyne really enjoyed sticking his hand in. Tyce loved every minute of it!

Kanyon digging in
Tyce just all smiles!
We just picked this pumpkin last week, we were really glad to get three pumpkins this year!

Primary Program

Today we had our primary program in Sacrament meeting. It went so well and all the kids did so great!! I was so proud of them! I was a little worried because of my being due in November we had to do it early. Just a month ago the Spanish branch was dissolved and so we got 10 new primary child that I had to teach all eight songs to. But they did great and sang the songs so well. I'm so glad that I decided to do the program (I got released from my calling about two months ago but decided that I wanted to do the program). We have put in a lot of work and it really showed today.

Kanyon and Tyce did great. Tyce didn't have a speaking part but he did get to hold a picture. Kanyon did have a speaking part and he had it all memorized and everything. I'm so proud of them!

I'm so glad that it is over now. Now I don't have anything going on that I can't reschedule or that Terry can't do. It's a nice feeling. Now I can just relax and wait for this baby to come.

Getting Bigger

I thought that I would post some pictures of my growing belly. I'm not sure why I'm doing this, maybe in a couple of months when I look back it will really humor me :). It's funny how big I felt 8 weeks ago because I feel (and am) even bigger now. I can't wait until I can see my toes again!

23 week along, I was feeling big then.... man how I wish I was this size now!
27 weeks
31 weeks
35 weeks now

Cool shirts

One of my favorite things about my craft blog right now is that I get contacted to review things and in return, I get free stuff! It's pretty awesome :). So yesterday I got a package in the mail and so I had to try it out. There were several things in it but I wanted to try out the heat transfer paper. So I did that. I got out my Cricut and started creating. These are the shirts that I made for the boys. They all were pretty excited about them!

Keyne's shirt, it says "My parents are exhausted"
The boys' soccer shirts. I've been wanting to make one for awhile now
The backs, #1 and #2 because Kanyon is the first boy and Tyce is the second. Maybe I'll make one for Keyne with a #3

River Dance

Keyne is a very happy boy. When he gets super excited about things, he likes to dance. It's so fun to watch! Here is his little dance

At very end, that's what he says when he is getting his picture taken :)

Soccer

The past few weekends, our ward has gotten together to play soccer! There are a ton of kids that are 4-6. It has been a lot of fun for all of us. It's so fun to get all together and watch the kids play.

Kanyon actually is really good at soccer. The first game he was playing with the younger kids and ended up scoring about 6 or 7 goals. So the next game he got moved to the older kids and he actually scored a goal that game too! I was so proud of him!

Here are a couple of pictures of this past game on Saturday. Kanyon is in the grey shirt

Phew!!

This morning it hit me how far along I really am. If I have a this baby at 37 weeks (that's how far along I was with Kanyon and Tyce), that is basically 3 weeks away. I don't like to feel rushed at all, so like to have everything ready in advance. I was actually pretty motivated this morning so I decided to finally wash all the clothes that we have gotten from the store. Well as I put the clothes in and turned on the washer, it dawned on me, I have an ultrasound this afternoon. I thought that I probably should have waited the two hours to wash these clothes, but it was too late.

Well this afternoon I had a doctor's appointment and luckily she confirmed that it is still a girl! I was very relieved!!

I actually had a very eventful appointment today. My blood pressure is on the rise. It was 130 over 80, not horrible but this is the time that it starts to go up. I have been having contractions for about 1 1/2 months now (like every 10-15 minutes) and so I thought that I would get checked. I'm not dilated yet but I am already 50% effaced. And lastly, I learned that baby's head is down again (yay!!!).

With all of this, the doctor decided that it would be a good idea to start seeing me weekly. For a second I thought that I would have a "normal" pregnancy and actually just go at the normal times, but at every pregnancy I have started going weekly at 34 weeks, so why not this one.

Big Mess

As I am getting to the end of pregnancy, my body is starting to shut down and it is getting harder and harder to do anything. Because of this, my house is a complete disaster!! I hate sitting in my house for hours and hours in this mess but when I try to actually clean, I either can't do it for very long, Keyne makes another room even worse or my body just starts aching.

Yesterday I really didn't do that much. I had to babysit a boy in the morning and then helped a friend with a craft and then did a load of laundry. I then went to the store (by myself) for about 30 minutes. When I got home, I couldn't walk. There was so much pain in my hip I couldn't stand. At one point I had to crawl around the house to get a few things for the boys. Good thing it was quiet time so I could lay down for a little bit.

Today I actually felt like cleaning, so I did. As I was cleaning the bathrooms, Keyne decided that he wanted some yogurt that was in the garbage can. So he got it out and got it everywhere. Then as I was cleaning that up, he decided to open a pizza box and get cheese everywhere. I try to clean the toy room, he is right there dumping out the box or another box.

I can't believe that I still have a month of this!!! One of the worse things about pregnancy is that it is only going to get worse before it gets better. My contractions, the pains, and the lack energy are just going to get worse. I just hope that I can get through this next month!

It's Pumpkin Time!!!

This evening we decided to finally cut our pumpkins from our garden!! We actually had a pretty good garden, I got a TON of cucumbers and we got several tomatoes. Our pumpkins have been pretty good too, we have a total of 6 right now, only two that are worth picking though. We were happy with the two though!

Tyce cutting off his pumpkin
Kanyon cutting his

It is definitely a cool feeling to say that these pumpkins were grown in our own garden!
