My New Toy

I got a new toy yesterday, so we went on a little hike to try it out! Here are a few pictures to show it off :). I love it!

If you couldn't figure it out, I got a new camera!! My old one kept on taking blurry pictures and it drove me nuts. There is so much about photography, I had no idea!!! This is the first manual I've ever read. I even watched the DVD and still have no clue. I have a lot to learn, but I'm loving that the pictures are not blurry!!

Angry Birds!!!

You all know how much I love Halloween, right? Well I do!! All the candy and dressing up, so awesome!! I especially love people being crafty and creative! I love it when people go out of their normal comfort zones and start creating :). This year we decided to go as Angry Birds. Luckily I started these costume 3 weeks ago because they took me forever! I've never sewed all of our costumes before, it was a lot of work. I don't know if I'll do it again. The boys loved it though, so that was good!

The birds
The pigs
The kids

Kanyon was the big red bird. He didn't want to be the normal red bird because it doesn't do very much. He likes the big one because it goes through everything!

Tyce wanted to be the bomb (my personal favorite!).
Someone had to be the pig and Keyne loved it! I'm pretty sure that he thinks that real pigs are green!
Taysn was the baby blue bird. I made a little bird clip for her hair so people wouldn't think that she was a boy.
We have been all over doing fun stuff!

This week we also carved pumpkins. We decided to do them as angry birds also. They turned out pretty good, I think.

Keyne did not like to put his hand in it, I guess he takes after his dad!
Tasyn slept through the whole thing
Kanyon did his all by himself, I was so impressed. He's is the second from the left.

Stay-vacation

This past week we decided to have a stay-vacation. We didn't get to do our normal vacation in August because of the move, so we did it this week. Terry took Friday off and we have a fun day and weekend. We hung around here and did things here. We ate out lots, played but still got to come home and sleep in our own bed :)

First we rode the train down to Salt Lake City

While we were there, we walked around down town

We even had a tour at the Beehive house
We ate lunch at the Lion house and then rode the Trax over to the Gateway.
We of course played in the fountains! This brought back lots of memories from growing up :)
Kanyon really loved it and really got into it.
It was cold water, so they had to lay out to dry and get warm!

We were all beat when we got home, but it was so much fun!

The next day we went to Chuck e Cheese

And then today we headed down to Terry's aunt's house for his grandparents' 80th birthday party. We haven't seen any of his aunts or uncles for 6 years, so it was so nice to see them again!

These three girls are all the same age, born within 2 weeks of each other. They are all great grand kids

The kids had a blast playing with their cousins! I love being able to let them play and then getting to talk to adults, it's so much fun!

Black Islands Farms

This evening we went to a place in Syracuse called Black Islands Farms. It was awesome! The kids had so much fun and it was fun for Terry and me too. First I took the kids on a little hay ride out to a pumpkin patch where they could pick out their own pumpkin. It was really neat to go and pick one out and then have them cut it off the vine for us.

After that, Terry met up with us and we went on the slides and then the corn maze. Both were great! The kids just loved the slides. And I'm not going to lie, I loved them too! They were great for all ages :).

Then we went into the corn maze. We did pretty good. We really didn't get lost, even though Kanyon kept on telling people that we were really lost.

After the corn maze, we went on a little cow train ride. It was fun!

Then we went back to the slides! We just kept gong down them. There weren't many people there, so we just got to go down them a ton. Towards the end, we decided to go down head first. It was pretty freaky to me, but fun too. The kids loved it, especially Keyne!

Sorry about the videos, we just took them on my phone...
