Day 3

Today we just had another day at the resort. There sure is a lot to do here. In the morning, several people worked out and just hung out. Terry and I took the boys miniature golfing and they had a blast.
This afternoon the men went golfing, so the women did a craft with all the kids. Tammy brought a bunch of stuff to make cute little bags, it was awesome! I had so much fun, I made 14 bags , I was in heaven!:). The crafts lasted for a good 3-4 hours and kept most everyone entertained. Even Kanyon and Tyce helped me make bags.

Mesa Verde

Today we went down to Mesa Verde and looked at all the native american ruins down there. I really didn't have the greatest time.... I tried to have a positive attitude but things just didn't go my way today. The first one that we went to, there was a 30ft ladder that you had to climb, so Terry took the boys, with Tyce on his back and I had to stay behind with Keyne. I was without a car, phone for two hours and just walked around for two hours with Keyne. I was really lonely! I didn't come to a family reunion to be alone, but I had to make the choice because it was better for Keyne. It was just too hot for him outside. So I spent the first two hours basically by myself, so I thought I would treat myself to ice cream, but no, my wallet was in the car... oops.

Anyway, now to the pictures. They seemed to have a lot of fun hiking to the ruin. Kanyon seemed to do a great job going up the ladder! Terry with Tyce on his back

Even Dad with on this hike.... yup up that 30 ft ladder!

The next hike we went on, I decided to go with Keyne. There wasn't such a big ladder. So I had him on me in the snuggly and Tyce walked. He is a pro at climbing!!! The ladders didn't phase him one bit.
So Keyne and I were having a good time, enjoying the hike, really enjoying everyone's company. Well we had gotten to the ruin and was sitting in the shade, listening to the park ranger. Well then this happened......

Keyne EXPLODED on me! It was awful, by far the biggest blowout he has ever had. And of course, in the middle of nowhere and on a bunch of rocks. It was disgusting, it smelt awful and I just felt gross the rest of the trip. Eventhough I didn't have the best of luck today, it was still fun to be with everyone. But we are not going back to Mesa Verde until all of our kids are potty trained!

First Day of Family Reunion

Well today was the first day of our family reunion. Since it is Sunday we just had a nice day, spending time together. We played games, went swimming, played volleyball and then younger kids played games while we waited for dinner to be ready. We ended the night with Family Home Evening, with a lesson on miracles. It was a fun day.

Kanyon is loving seeing all of his cousins and they are being nice and letting him play. Tyce is being a little reserved but is opening up and talking to everyone. By the end of the week, he will be his normal loud self. Keyne is loving being held and everyone talking to him!

A sad day for me

For the past four years I have been a Stampin' Up! demonstrator and I have loved every minute of it! I love being able to teach people new techniques. I gained a lot of confidence and got over my fear of speaking in front of people. It has been a very big part of my life. I'm sad to say that it has to come to an end. I have tried to keep my business going, but I just haven't found those people that love to scrapbook here. I have only done one party for someone (other than myself) in the past year. I wish that I could continue, I wish that I could find those people, but I just haven't had any luck. It just makes me want to cry..... I love doing it so much. I feel like a failure.

Here a couple pictures of a photo box I made Terry for father's day. I will still continue to scrapbook and make lots of things.

My amazing deal

Today the boys and I went out and went to lots of garage sales. There were several so we just worked our way through the town. I found a lot of fun things today, including a little stroller to bring to our reunion tomorrow for $1.50. But the best buy and the thing I am SUPER excited about it the piano that I just bought. I have been looking for a piano for about a month now, I just really have been enjoying music lately. I know how to play, I can sight read but I'm not very good and don't feel comfortable playing in front of people. About a week ago I was really tempted to buy one, a nicer one, for about $300. I am so glad that I didn't. I know this one isn't very pretty and doesn't sound the greatest, but with a little bit for work it should work great for what we need. And the best part, it cost a whopping $30!!!! You can't beat that price. It's pretty dirty, didn't come with a bench and one leg is missing, but I dont' care, I just excited to have a piano!

Feet

Keyne has discovered his feet! He loves to play with them, it is so cute. I love how he will lay on the ground and just grab them and then roll from side to side. Keyne is a very content baby, he will just lay on his back and just watch everything around him. He just loves to take it all in!

Red + Blue = Purple

Since Terry had a three day weekend (he got a day off for his birthday) we spent the WHOLE weekend painting our master bedroom. We have a fairly large room, but it has a lot of doors and windows and so it took forever to do. We did all the of the trim around the windows and doors this weekend and then this evening took the doors and trim outside and sprayed them. Even though painting everything white is taking a very long time, I LOVE the results, it looks so much cleaner and modern. Maybe I'll post pictures of our bedroom... maybe.

Since the boys have been wanting to help paint all weekend, we decided that they could paint the ramp that Terry built them. We just used some old paint from the previous owners and they went to town. They had a blast and as you can see, got a little messy.

Tyce decided he wanted blue and Kanyon wanted the red.
Lots and lots of painting
The after
What a cute little guy, I just can't resist taking pictures of him!
The after after, he painted and then played with water, the paint soaked through his shirt
The after after for Tyce, he had a lot of fun playing in the water too
The ramp, I think they did really good job painting it. We didn't help at all, they covered it pretty well.

A special day for my special man

Today is Father's Day and Terry's birthday. He was actually born on Father's Day. With it being both days for him, I tried to celebrate both for him. This morning I celebrated him being a father with a pancake breakfast, cards and a little photo box. Nothing big. Terry is the best father to my children, better than I could have ever dreamed of. He actually, truly enjoys being and playing with the kids. He never takes time for himself, he does everything for his family. He is always putting his family first and always feels guilty when he has to go to church for a meeting. Terry is so patient and loving. Terry is the most unselfish preson I have ever met.The boys and I are very lucky to have him!

After church we celebrated Terry's birthday. It was a rather simple birthday, I really failed this year. Hopefully Terry enjoyed it anyway because I should have done so much more. With Terry's birthday money, he bought an ice cream maker (thanks Alan and Sheena) and so we made home made ice cream with the boys and then had strawberry short cakes and presents.

The boys helping Terry mix the ice cream
Pounding the ice, it fits better in the barrel
Blowing out his cake.... I didn't have enough candles, so I did 2 on one and 8 on the other
Presents... well present, Office season 4
We love you so much Terry, thank you for being a wonderful husband and father!

Happy Father's Day to all you father's out there, especially to my Dad and to Terry's Dad, you both are amazing father's and grandpas and we love you!
