Pancakes + Race + Parade = A Very Fun Day!

When we were thinking about moving here, we were inpressed with all the things that the community does.  Well today just happened to have two major events on the same day!  So we got up at 7:30am to get to the pancake breakfast in the park and then at 8:30 went to the zoo for a 1 mile race and then hit the local Home Depot and picked up the craft that they did today and by 10:00 was back for a parade.  We all were worn out by the end of the day!  It was lot of fun though!  Only in Kansas do you celebrate beef for a full two weeks!

The fun run was good.  Kanyon, Keyne and I ran together.  Kanyon did great, he only walked a few times.  He was worn by the end though but was sure excited to get a medal.  He was so cute, he said that he would share his medal with Terry because he didn't get one.   Kanyon finished the mile in about 12 minutes, pretty good for a 4 year old.

Tyce ran with Terry.  Sometimes Tyce is just silly.  He wanted to run but didn't want Terry to run with him for some reason.  So Terry put him on his shoulders for most of it.  He ran the last part and did great!  He was the youngest one running.  He finished in about 20 minutes.  Tyce was very happy to get a medal too!

The parade was a lot of fun, we got there early and got pretty close to the beginning.  Only in Kansas are the main vehicles tractors :).  The boys learned that in order to get candy you have to wave and stand up.  They had fun watching everything!

Tyce kept on opening his candy.... he had at least four suckers by the time we were done.
Keyne's first parade.  He did great!  The noises didn't bother him at all.  He just got tired towards the end.Kanyon loved it and even got a couple of balls for cheerleaders.

Your town sounds like a lot of fun. I love the pictures of your boys and flowers. The pictures of your older boys feeding the baby is very cute. I love it.
