We have some news to share, so big news to share!! At the end of May, we will be moving to Kennewick, Washington! We got our "dream" job within the company and we are very excited about it. Out of all the locations in the company, this is by far my favorite one. It's the one that is closest to my family (only 4 hours away) and the size of the Tri Cities are just perfect for us. There is all the shopping that we need, there is a temple there and Terry's office is in town so he has no commute.
Oh and another thing.... WE ARE BUYING OUR DREAM HOUSE!!
While I was in Boise, I went up to Kennewick with my parents to check it out and to go house hunting. It was a lot of fun and we found lots of good houses. Going in I knew that I loved this house and that there would have to be some major problems with it for me not to buy it. It is just great. Built in 2010, 2800 sq ft, 4 beds and 2.75 bath with a big bonus room that will be used as a bedroom.

One of my favorite thing about the house is the entry. I like houses that have an entry way so you don't just walked into the living room or kitchen. This one is two story.

My Dad loved the garage, as you can tell by his dancing in it :). It's two car but is very deep, so it's technically a 3 car garage. Plus it has shelves for storage.
I'm a sucker for pretty tile. This is the tile in the entry way.
The kitchen isn't huge but it's very functional and updated. Granite counter tops, stainless steel appliances and a bar that is big enough to put all 5 kids on it. That was a must for me. Plus a corner pantry :).

The master suite is huge, with crown molding and double door entry. The bathroom is great too, big bathtub and separate shower.

And a nice big walk in closet. It will fit all of my clothes, maybe I'll even share it with Terry.

Cute 3/4 bath off the entry, with bead board. I love all the nice finishes in the house.

Big Backyard with nice patio and a line for gas to hook up the BBQ.

I'm really excited about the house, can you tell? I've always wanted to live in a nice neighborhood and community like this. I'm getting everything that I want in a house, all the bedrooms are upstairs. I still get my craft room, a formal living room and family room. Plus an updated kitchen that is open to the main floor.
We will move at the end of May. The kids get out of school on the 16th, so we will pack up the house and move probably Memorial Day weekend. We are very excited to be able to get settled down and stay in a place for longer than a couple years and hopefully not move for a very long time!

That sounds like a great move...and house. You paid your dues being in the boonies...now back to civilization.
Congratulations! It looks like a great house! Tri-Cities is awesome. The people are amazing, the shopping is nice and the temple is a huge bonus. I'm excited for you. Good luck packing!
